Since 1898, the Parsons family has been making pure maple syrup on the shores of Harwood Lake, a few miles south of downtown Charlevoix. After five generations, they opened the Harwood Gold Store & Cafe in August 2016. The Harwood Gold Store features all of the Harwood Gold products, including pure maple syrup and gourmet made-with-maple sauces, spreads, preserves, granola and more. All Harwood Gold products are sweetened only with pure maple syrup.The Harwood Gold Cafe features espresso and tea drinks, smoothies, pastries, and hand pies both hot and frozen. Their menu includes several vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
